We Care!
This is My
commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
(John 15:12)
We are called
to be a caring community of believers that:
Celebrates
Christ as Savior…
Because Christ is the Head of the Church.
He has been enthroned with
all authority and is the One to Whom all allegiance is due. We
celebrate His
Lordship with rich tradition and heart-felt worship that penetrates the
soul. We
celebrate Him through the ministry of the Word that is both powerful and
practical. We strive to incorporate a variety of ministry venues that
invites all
ages and people groups into the celebration experience.
(John 4:23-24) 23 But the hour
is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in
spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and
truth.”
Affirms
every believer…
Because
Christ has a kingdom work for each of us to do.
We believe in the priesthood of the
believers. Every believer is a valuable part of the great commission.
Our goal is to help each person discover his/her spiritual gifts and equip
them for ministry.
(Ephesians
4:11-13) 11He is the one who gave these gifts to the church:
the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.
12Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work
and build up the church, the body of Christ, 13until we come to
such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature
and full grown in the Lord, measuring up to the full stature of Christ.
Restores
the hurting….
Because Christ values ministry to those in need as if it were to
Himself. Our purpose is to extend,
to the best of our ability, compassion and
care to those with physical, emotional
and/or spiritual needs.
(Matthew 25:40) 40And the King
will tell them, “I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of
these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'”
Evangelizes
the world…
Because the heart of Christ is missions. Whether
it is around the corner
or around the world, God has called us to
share the Good News.
(Matthew
28:19-20) 19Therefore, go and make disciples of all the
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy
Spirit. 20Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I
have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end
of the age."
